Obstructive Sleep Apnea Diagnosis & Treatment

Obstructive Sleep

If your child is struggling with academic and behavioral issues, their quality of sleep should be examined! Studies show that pediatric sleep disorders and poor sleep may lead to an increase in child health problems. Our office offers technology to diagnose and treat obstructive sleep apnea and more.

These are before and after CBCT images of patients treated at Marlo A. Miller, DDS. Both struggled with enlarged adenoids and tonsils. An adenotonsillectomy, or removal of the tonsils, was performed based on Dr. Miller and an ENT recommendation. This procedure alleviates airway restriction contributing to breathing/sleep issues and reduced overall health and wellness. Dr. Miller also did some minor Upper and Lower expansion. There is a Significant airway change in both patients, and both report sleeping better and feeling better overall.

Tongue Tie Specialist in Yukon, OK

Tongue Tie & Release

A tongue-tie, or a ankyloglossia, is a condition in which an unusually short, thick, or tight band of tissue tethers the bottom of the tongue’s tip to the floor of the mouth. If left untreated, this condition may interfere with a baby’s ability to get breast milk, leading to poor feeding and inadequate nutrition. This condition may also lead to speech difficulties.

Dr. Marlo A. Miller and a pediatric dentist work closely together to perform tongue tie and releases. This procedure results in patients reporting more comfortable tongue position and an easier time performing particular speech sounds!

  • Picky eating; food and texture aversions
  • Choking, vomiting, gagging on foods or liquids
  • Food falling out of mouth, using fingers to move food in the mouth, pocketing food in the cheeks, and food getting trapped in the palate, gums, or cheeks
  • Speech issues; delay and or lisp
  • Digestive issues; constipations, “reflux”, and IBS
  • Migraines and headaches
  • Behavioral issues and ASHD-like symptoms
